The Psychotherapist is responsible for providing professional mental health services through comprehensive assessment, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and ongoing client support. This role requires adherence to ethical standards, confidentiality, and a client-centered approach to promoting emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment records in accordance with professional standards.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and coordinated care.
  • Uphold ethical guidelines, client confidentiality, and all applicable professional and legal standards.

Farzan Foadi

Farzan Foadi (Gitchitawa Isiniika) is a Strategy and Development expert born and raised in Iran. Farzan has been strategically helping people and organizations through difficult situations in Canada since 2000 in Canada. In 2004 Farzan focused on learning from and supporting First Nations people, organizations and communities in the areas of safety / security and health / social services development. This work allowed him to travel to communities across British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario. In 2006 Elder Alex Jacobs, from Whitefish FN gave Farzan his first Anishnaabe name in Toronto ON, Gitchitawa. Later, Farzan met Elder Fred Kelly Jr. from Onigaming First Nation. Upon his advice Farzan approached Grandmother Bessie Mainville of Couchiching FN in 2008. Grandmother Mainville dreamed then gave Farzan his second Anishnaabe name, Isiniika. Since then Farzan and his wife, Joelyn Frenette, have dedicated their private lives to being kinship caregivers and foster parents.

Joelyn Frenette (Shawanobinesiik), Lynx clan, is an Anishnaabe Kwe (Ojibway woman) from northern Ontario. a member of the Ojibways of Onigaming First Nation, born and raised in Fort Frances Ontario. Joelyn has been working in mental health as an advocate and provider since 1999. In 2011 Joelyn began supporting First Nations people, organizations and communities in the areas of health and social services development travelling across Manitoba then Ontario delivering trainings and workshops to support service development and Indigenous perspectives on cultural competency. She presented at the 2012 National Case Management Network of Canada’s (NCMN) National Case Management Conference in Toronto and has been profiled in the Journal of Case Management September 2013. Aspects of this work were discussed in the article she co-published in ReHab Matters, Fall 2013. Between 2010-2014 she started consulting as a personal side project, helping people and agencies with understanding current events with the applicable context from Canadian History then with their TRC obligations. Meanwhile, Joelyn found time to marry Farzan Foadi (Gitchitawa Isiniika). Together they have dedicated their personal lives to supporting children in the care of Child and Family Services as a foster family and kinship caregivers.
